About

Our Mission Statement

Rather than raising money and buying food for the people of the Amazon we will get volunteers to teach the people how to use their land to its capacity so that they don’t need to cut more trees down.  Because the Amazon is so big, we will start using our methods on the Yanomami tribe of the northern Amazon and work from there.

These people rely on farming as their primary food source and don’t know how to properly conserve their land.  Conservation of land is so important in the Amazon because the runoff from the rain takes away the nutrients from the soil.  When the soil becomes devoid of nutrients, the Yanomami people, and others, cut down trees to make more room for land.

This can be stopped by helping the people of the Amazon.  The first thing that can be done is teaching the people of the Yanomami tribe how to conserve their soil. The Amazon Rainforest Preservation Foundation will do this by showing them how to rotate crops, protect the soil and farm with greater efficiency without deteriorating the farmland.

Using the profit from the donations, the “Amazon Preservation Foundation” will be able to fly in hundreds of environmental volunteers and experts to the village, as well as provide each one with a fair amount of supplies to make the mission successful. In addition to using the donations for supplies and transport, the money is also planned to be used to provide better nutrients, like mulch or wood chippings, for the soil to prevent constant erosion and runoff. By nourishing the soil with all of the vitamins and minerals it needs, there is a greater chance that the trees in the rainforest will grow to be stronger and healthier in the future.
